Lying often comes up on the twin flame journey. Whether it's the little white lies you tell- "I'm not upset," to the one that cuts deep: "I don't want to be with you."
When he lies to you - or you lie to him - fear is underneath.
Here's something I learned that has proven to be super useful over my twin flame journey: if something sticks you, meaning if you keep thinking over and over again of something somebody told you, there's a lie there, spoken or unspoken.
Here's a simple exploration. If you ask yourself, is that a lie?
And your world lightens up or feels even a little bit better, at all....you just uncovered a falsehood.
It could be that just a part of what was said was a lie-- like he said, "I don't care about you, I just need space." It could be that the first part was a lie, yet he really does need space.
So why does he lie?

Plain and simple - fear.
These are likely some of his fears....
He wants to protect himself. Or he wants to protect you.
It may be he's afraid of hurting himself or you, afraid of losing control, or just afraid, confused or generally overwhelmed.
Lying is from fear.
You may not be able to change that right now, but it does create relief to use the above technique as an inner lie detector of sorts, to help sift through and create clarity.
Next, look at where you are in fear.
Do you fear losing him?
Fear that you'll never be with them or experience that yummy amazing feeling of connection again?
